Batla / Ishrat encounter - fake or not (or whatever)

Kejriwal ji wrote a letter to muslims which said a lot of things about education, peace, development, unity etc.

A clip on

This is a very positive letter, talking about:
  1. Development of minorities so that they get good education, employment.
  2. Promoting law and order
  3. It talks that all parties use people as vote banks, whats wrong in this?
  4. It talks that "All religions should come together" to fight against corruption. Is that wrong?

A very positive letter, showing bright prospects of AAP

But some groups in India
caught only one single line about fake encounters, from the whole letter. And started lashing out on Aam  Aadmi Party and Kejriwal.

They also started spreading false propaganda that AAP is B team of Congress and vice versa

So in this post we will try and discuss some of the facts ignored::

  1. Fake encounters is a problem that exists. It is a fact accepted even by BJP

Fake encounters is a reality, which exists in different states of India.
BJP says that hindus are also killed in fake encounters.

I hope that my fellow countrymen who support BJP will at least accept that there is something like fake encounters.

    So far so good...
  2. Fake encounters is an ignored issue that encompasses whole country

    555 fake encounter cases registered:

    http://www.thehindu.com/todays-paper/555-fake-encounter-cases-registered-across-india-in-last-four-years/article4916004.ece

These, cases are registered in Both Congress and BJP ruled states.
  3. Fake encounters occur in more Congress and BJP ruled states both!
"The most trigger-happy state is Uttar Pradesh with 138 fake encounters, followed by Manipur and Assam with 62 and 52 cases respectively. In all three states, there is a non-BJP government while Manipur and Assam have Congress governments. West Bengal with 35 and Jharkhand with 30 follow the above states in the list. The only BJP-led state high in the rank is Chhattisgarh with 29 cases. According to Amnesty International, over a thousand people were killed in “faked encounters” in India between 1993 and 2008."

  4. Even police officers come up against fake encounters

    http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/other-states/i-killed-more-than-80-people-in-fake-encounters-says-a-repentant-punjab-cop/article4885921.ece

  5. Experts believe that fake encounters are many times (might be) orchestrated by ruling party to gain political or monetary benefit

    .
  6. Kejriwal never disrespected  Insp. Mohan Sharma or any police officer

  7. There are common questions raised in most encounter cases
    1. Why not even one of the terrorists/culprits are caught alive?

If caught alive, it would have been easier to reach to their lords who are sponsoring terrorism in India.
    2. How did Police officer died. In what circumstances?
These encounters take away lives of honest and brave police officers. Its a big loss to the nation.

And a clarity on these encounters is important so that we can save lives of police  officers

The case was registered in supreme court because of these doubts. IF supreme court finds that there are some blurred facts in the case then whats wrong in asking for independent probe?

I am sure if corruption is rooted out. And good politics come into place. Those 555 fake encounters registered every year could go down to 50 or even 5.

PS:
I do not think what Kejriwal did a blunder in asking for proper investigation in fake encounters.

I am sure he has same views for encounters done against muslims, hindus, sikhs and just about anyone living anywhere in India.

Don't we all want to live in a nation where no innocent is killed and police officers don't die because some politicians want to score their political points or monetary/business benefits?

Its good to raise questions on political parties. AAP will definitely encourage it. But i would request the neutral watchers to get into the details and then form an opinion regarding anyone.

Jai Hind!
