Took around 12 hours to study the video in detail and add these comments. I am not a lawyer. The purpose of this video is to put my thoughts about this sting operation. I do not not claim that im 100% correct. Watch the video and form your own opinon!

1. The "invisible" power of editing
   While majority of my fellow countrymen saw the video. But truth lies in what they did nt see.
   
   Editing a sting operation is like not doing a sting operation but a TV show like Big Boss.
   
   
   Editing is called invisible art because, movie editors cut the uninteresting part of the video and use only parts which convey the message of the movie.
   
   This message can be manipulated by editing a video. This is a video explaining how using only editing you can completely create or destroy stories:
   
   
2. This is not a "sting operation"
   
   What is a sting operation?
   

   In law enforcement, a sting operation is a deceptive operation designed to catch a person committing a crime
   
   

   
   Was there any crime in the video?
   Not a single crime committed (at least by AAP members)  in the whole video. And not even talked about any irregularity.
   
   
   All members said again and again: we will see, or we will look into the details.
   
   This is what we have found in edited video. Its evident that in raw un-edited video there are many parts of the conversation which were intentionally removed to fabricate the truths.
    
3. Reporter has edited out most of his starting and ending conversations..
   
   In almost all the sting op carried out. Reporter has only kept swearing part (chadhai kar denge etc) and never showed what was the matter discussed first hand.
   
   Questions were asked by reporter and answers has been edited in majority of the cases. And only plain yes were showed.
   
   Even the spiced up voice over says, that AAP members said a "yes".
4. Getting to a yes
   
   Reporter using tactic of difficult question first and easy question second to get to a "yes"
   The technique was to ask combined questions. Reporter here asked controversial statements first "chadhai kar denge" and then things like "we will help you" in same order to get a combined yes.
   
   Then using that yes, to connect it with controversial line and trying to prove something.
   
   This is a technique used by tele-callers to get a person to say yes on tele-marketing calls.
   
   For example:
   
   If a tele caller has to get a yes on two points like
   1. You want a refinance?
   2. You living in a single story house?
   
   The first question is not easy to answer because the owner may not yet want a refinance option. But owner is 100% sure that he lives in a single story house!
   
   So the tele-caller will quickly ask both questions together and get a "combined yes" To qualify his call as a sale. . This is a technique that works but its not legitimate to say the least.
   
   
   Example in sting operation
   
   The reporter in almost all cases especially including Mr Hooda's case says:
   
   1. Ham chadhayi kar denge
   2. Aur abhi apke paas time nahi ho to election ke baad kar denge.
   
   Of course, AAP candidate said a "combined yes" but it was not a blatant yes which is very clear from watching the video.
   
   
   I am sure, AAP's legal team experts would take a note of this technique which is used in a wrong way to create a story.
   
5. None of the AAP candidates are asking for money
   None of the AAP candidates are directly asking for money in an unauthorized way.
   
   Shazia Ilmi has repeated several times that donations are not for dharna and everything is accounted for. Have a look at the video. There is not a single case where she says that we will hide the money or not cut the receipt.
6. Calling a political volunteer-  Personal Assistant - a code conduct violation?
   
   Was it done to show Aam Aadmi Party as a business doing organisation?
   
   The reporter is terming the volunteer Sidarth as PA to unnecesarily create more sensation in the video. However, reporter's claim is completely wrong!
   
   Neither Shazia Ilmi nor Sidarth the volunteer said that I am PA of Shazia.
   
    But whole case was taken across by the sting op team in such a way to malign the image of Aam Aadmi Party, which is really sad and questionable to say the least!
   
   A clear case of misrepresentation of facts to sensationalize and show like Shazia Ilmi is running a business! And hence malign Aam Aadmi Party's image on a whole!
   
   
   
   
7. Misrepresenting facts about accepting cash.
   Half of the video is run by voiceovers saying very big things.
   
   However, when you closely look at the video there is no un-accounted cash transaction talked about.
   
   And not even 5 rs taken by AAP members A sting operation is one where a culprit is caught while committing the crime. So this does not even qualifies as a sting operation in that case!
   
8. Wrong statements manipulating information!
   In Dinesh's sting op. at 22:24 The voiceover said that
   

   We said clearly that we do not have any papers, they will help us and will get whatever they want as support he assured not to take worries.

   
   
   However, later in the video, 25:07 reporter was heard saying:
   
   

   Reporter- Plot के --- पे उस plot पे कोई number तो है नहीं अभी मैं मामा जी से paper सारी चीज ले लूंगा तब आपके पास में एक बार जब आऊंगा बात कर लेगें एक बार

   And this clearly shows that reporter was trying to show that he is in a genuine problem. However, when video came for editing voiceover-artist sensationalized by misrepresenting facts.
   
   But editor forgot to edit that part out. This is an error which clearly tells a lot about the whole sting operation.
   
9. Comparing Mr Vishwas with people making fun of economy class (kettle class controversy)
   
   
   in the video:
   
   

   Class and suits and not afford to stay anywhere else other than that. it doesn,t matter at all for him even the money earned from any wrong ways if it is black money, criminal and corrupt politicians. Even the Spokesman,s P.A. is also not less special.. belongs from absolutely same class. Just think how they are different from saying economy class a cattle class?

   
   
   In Mr Vishwas's video, the reporter voiceover compared Kumar Vishwaas's condition of ticket in business class with a controversial comment made by some politician on twitter.
   
   And then voiceover goes on to say that Mr Vishwas is not less bad then that politician which made fun of economy class.
   
   Now, it is Mr Vishwas's personal choice of traveling in economy of business class while on assignments. Mr Vishwas  did not make fun of economy class and
   
   Such statements by the reporter are completely sounding biased and unethical.
   Anyone in the country is allowed to travel in economy and business class! If using legal money for doing so!
   
   
10. Damage to the party?
    There's certainly a damage done,but people all over India believe that this sting does not look legit and support for Aam Aadmi Party seems unchanged.
    
    But the attack was big and looks bogus on prima facie. I am sure that election commission and honorable court brings justice in this regard for the public movement AAP
    
    I strongly believe that there are severe irregularities in the video and video is HEAVILY edited!
    
    So it won't do much damage if the truth comes in front of public.
11. Can this stop AAP?
    Cheap tactics like this cannot stop a movement of a political change. Today in the world of social media a few politicians or media houses cannot manipulate thinking of common people.
    
    Yes they control information world to an extent, social media is growing fast and evolving as a strong voice.
    
    Aam Aadmi Party is a bi-product of social media. No one can deny, good or bad. It's political ideologies are first of its kind we have ever seen in India.
    
    And this video or even more attacks that might come in the future will not stop this movement. Because AAP is not about a person but its about people.
    
    It is about millions of people who want a change in the political system in the country. Something we have always talked about but did nothing uptil now.
    
    This is a chance in front of us. And i don't think that these stunts will deter AAP or its volunteer to stop working for a good cause of Swaraj.

 I would also request other news channels to show the points I have mentioned in the video in both print and TV medium.

After all, journalism is about showing both aspects of the story? Is nt it?
